"This session will explore how the instructional strategy Philosophical Chairs can be used to engage all learners through a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework. Participants will consider how academic discourse can support critical thinking, student voice, and classroom inclusion, especially when paired with intentional scaffolds and flexible participation options.

The session will highlight how this strategy can be adapted across content areas and aligned with Tier 1 instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Educators will leave with practical tools, planning resources, and new ideas to make structured discussion a powerful and inclusive part of a student-centered classroom. "
