In this session, participants will experience three high-impact, low-prep AVID discussion strategies—Give One, Get One, 30-Second Expert, and Save the Last Word that align with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. Each strategy is designed to increase student engagement, support diverse learning needs, and promote deeper thinking and expression in Tier 1 instruction. Teachers will rotate through hands-on activities that model how students can engage with texts, respond to prompts, and build academic discourse in flexible and inclusive ways. The session emphasizes student voice, choice, and movement while providing practical classroom applications for each routine.
